Tabs

This section contains some short tabs that include licks, intros, parts of solos, parts of rhythms, general tabs to play some songs ... that I consider most
relevant for guitar players. All the tabs you'll find here have their respective sounds played slowly so you can clearly understand all the notes of the tab!

You can also send me some licks / parts of Slash related songs that you think are important to understand his style of playing guitar. Email me the tab and the
respective sound (play the tab slowly and then fast, don't take it from the records) and I'll put it here!  Send the sound files in mp3 format with 20 Kbps.
Please don't send sound files bigger than 200k since the space I've got on the web is  only 20 MB so I can't put here big files. Send your recordings to
        Slashguitarpage@yahoo.com.

Tab #1: This kind of lick is very applied by Slash: He picks one string and do some hammer on on that string and then he plays on following string the exact
same hammer on that he had played on the previous string. Play this lick fast.

Tab #7: Shine Lead Intro - On this intro Slash plays some harmonics (put your finger on the specific fret but don't press it dow) which is not a very usual
technique in Slash's playing. Slash plays it with a wah pedal:

                    |-----------<12>---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
                    |-----------<12>---------<7>-----------17-s-15--15--15-s-12--12--12-s-10--10--10--9--10--12-s-10--9-------------------------------------|

Tab #9: Back To The Moment - The only ballad on Ain't Life Grand. I love this song, in my opinion this is best song of the album!

Rythm - The rhythm to this song is supported mainly by skip string arpeggios of some chords. There are lots of guitar overtones but basically
there's always a guitar playing skip string arpeggios. This song starts with the following chords:

"You say you don't wanna go .... "
                                   C   C7   F   A#   C   C7   F   A#

Pre chorus: "I wanted you ..."
                                   Am    B   C   F   Am  C    F   G

Pre chorus: "Breaks me in two ..."
                                    Chorus: C  #A  Am  G#   C   A#   Am  G#  A#

                             First solo:
                                                   C                     C7                  F                       A#                                       C
                                            |-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
                                            |----8--------------8---------------8-s-6--b5 rb 5--6----6--8-s-6-----------8-------|
                                            |-------5-s-7-s-7------5-s-7-s-5-------------------------------------5--B7-----5----|

                                            |---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------|
                                            |---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------|

On the pre-album tour this solo was a little longer but on the album they cut this part:
                                                   C            C7                 F                                 A#                                  C
                                            |--------------6-------------6--5-h-6-p-5-----------------------------------------------  |

                                            |--5-s-7-s-5---------------------------------------------------------------7--------------|
